Players are banned every day from MCO, and some join only to never return. Most Freedonians don’t bat an eye usually unless it’s a high profile exit. Over the last few days, Andromeda, known in-game as bucketsofwasps, have announced his plans to leave MCO indefinitely citing mental health concerns.

Wasps has become known as a server regular since he first joined in February of 2020. Over his time in Freedonia, he has participated several projects notably founding Bakers Edge and Rimini through the MCO Geofront Project.

It’s normal for players to come and go but it doesn’t mean it’s easy to get used to, especially for those of us who have been around for so long. The only players I can remember from my Era that aren’t admins or mods currently are snakyman and Draglide. Wasps was well known to a lot of people and I know I speak for some us when I say I hope he has a good future away from MCO.

Bakers Edge has run its course for many players, but it’s ownership has been transferred to headimdeadinside. Rimini, on the other hand, has been left in the hands of RobotReaction. Wasps still plans to remain in the discord overseeing the Rimini operation however, so they aren’t cutting ties completely.

There is a time where most of do need to look at ourselves and keep an eye on our health. Freedonia, like any community, will have conflict that can take a toll on players. At the end of the day, as much as this community may mean to us, it is important to take a break from the game.
