Picture Perfect: MCO’s Photo Contest Returns

Returning from 2019, MinecraftOnline is hosting a picture contest. Take a screenshot from the server, make any edits you’d like, then submit it to the thread in the discord server!

I am happy to announce that Bearaeka of Verico Post and I are working to bring you the second iteration MinecraftOnline Picture Contest! Originally held in 2019, it hosted a whopping 44 entries from different players. Proving to be one of the most creative-driven challenges for players, we wanted to bring this back to celebrate 12 years of MCO!

As if this month wasn’t jammed-pack enough, now you can enter to win some unique prizes. The only requirements for the image are that it primarily features a screenshot from in-game and that it doesn’t break any of the discord’s rules. External edits are allowed and encouraged! So feel free to break out any 3d programs or photo editors you may have for some additional flare!

We are going to be collecting submissions for the next two weeks until August 19th. They will then be compiled into a google form where each player can vote on all of them at once. This decision was made to avoid the problem of early submissions often getting the most votes. This occured because contestants don’t always return to the thread once posting their submission.

Awards Ceremony from 2019.

Slightly different this year, you will be voting on all the images together! You will be able to assign each a rating from 1-5, and at the end the highest rated submissions will be counted up and chosen as the winners! We hope this helps give everyone a fair shot and also helps balance out the power of voting.

Final voting will open on the 20th and run until the 26th. Expect the final results to be announced shortly after with prizes handed out. Until next time Freedonians, grab your camera and go click some pics!
